Faraway Skies

One thing that I get yelled at about a lot is my inability to do nothing. From the time that I realized that hard work is what gets you places, taking a day to do nothing hasn't been something that I've had much practice in. I figure I'll relax when I get where I want to in life. Lately though, I'm beginning to see that perhaps that's not the healthiest outlook to have.

The never ending AS revision, university research, ACT exams, SAT studying, book lists, coursework, driving lessons and part time work has left me drained; everything this year has come one after another and I really haven't been able too afford to waste a day and recharge my batteries.

But this week I decided to take some time and just connect with everything that I haven't been able to do amidst the craziness. I finally finished one of my favorite book series, I'm slowly but surely making my way through all ten seasons of Supernatural (no spoilers please), I've sorted out all the junk in my room and I've even found the time to go running with a friend. It's amazing how much better I'm feeling now that I've just pressed pause. This week is my comfy blue jean wearing chill time and I have to say, I really am loving it.
